Contrast between God-Fearing and Wicked People
Psalm 112

Introduction
Psalms 111 and 112 have the same length, identical stanzas, and also are precise acrostics. This song declares the glory of God and the reflection of God’s light in men born from above.
1.The blessings of man and family fearing the Lord. Psalm 112:1-3

The blessings in the life of a man who fears the Lord. Psalm 112:1

The verse begins with the praise to the Lord. The reasons for the blessings of a man who fears the Lord are:

He/she delights greatly in God’s commandments and words. Fear of God is not just a feeling but to love God and be obedient to his commandments.

The blessings in the life of a family who fears the Lord. Psalm 112:2-3

The family that fears the Lord is blessed. The reasons for this are as follows.

They become mighty on earth, and their descendants will be guarded and protected by God. It focuses on physical strength. The obedience to God’s word brings wealth and riches to the God-Fearing family. This blessed family’s good works and right standing with God are lasting. They will not fade in this world or the world to come.
2.Difference between God fearing man/woman and wicked man. Psalm 112:4-10

The God-Fearing man’s unique blessings are designated as follows. Psalm 112:4-9

They will be blessed with light amid the darkness.

They will display to others the grace, compassion, righteousness, and generosity God has granted them.

They will share and lend to those who are in need.

They will be guided by God with wisdom and discretion.

They will never be shaken and will experience victories over their enemies.

They will be remembered eternally for their character and righteous actions.

They will not be afraid of evil tidings or scared.

They will neither fickle nor cowardly and their hearts are established.
They will support the poor and their righteousness stands forever.

They will be honored and exalted.

The wicked man’s grief is given as follows. Psalm 112:10

When the wicked man sees the blessings of a God-Fearing man and family, he will melt away and be frustrated. The evil may not gnash their teeth in this only, but they will do it in the age too. Luke.13:28
Conclusion
Fearing God is not a feeling but an action of obedience to God’s word and commandments. They are blessed individually and collectively as a family in many ways. When the wicked see it, they will get frustrated and grieve.
