Honey from the rock - V.16

A man was sleeping one night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled with light, and God appeared. The Lord told this man had work for wants and showed him a rock in front of his cabin. The Lord explained that the man was to push against the rock with all his might. So, this the man did, day after day for years, from dawn to dusk, he tried his best with all his might to push the rock without success. He began to think that he was a failure and he felt discouraged and disheartened.

At last good sense dawned on him. He prayed to God accepting his painful failure to budge the rock even by half a millimeter.

The Lord responded : 'Wait a minute , When I asked you to serve me and you accepted. I told you that your task was to push against the rock with all your strength, which you have done. Never once did I mention to you that I expected you to move it. Your task is to push. Your calling was to be obedient and push and to have faith, to trust in my wisdom that you have done now.

Now, I , my friend, will move the rock.'

In Psalm 81:16 , God promises His chosen people of satisfying them with honey from the rock. Now, God is offering us the sweetest honey that pours from the rock : Jesus Christ Himself. All we need to do to squeeze honey from the rock is to listen to God's word. But how we listen to God's word ?

We do as verse 10 suggests : "Open your mouths wide". When we listen and obey , God will fill us with His satisfaction.

Just like the man in the story we saw, who was told to push the rock, so we too must P.U.S.H. When everything seems to go wrong..... just P.U.S.H. When the job gets you down...just P.U.S.H. When people you love betray you....just P.U.S.H. When diseases torment your body ....just P.U.S.H. When you are in a financial crisis...just P.U.S.H. When you are surrounded by your enemies ....just P.U.S.H. What does it mean to say P.U.S.H ?

P = Pray ; U = Until S = Something ; H = happens

Just keep pushing. God's honey will flow into your life satisfying your body, mind and soul

God Bless You.
