Let Us Receive His Peace

Dear In Christ Washington Church Family,

Grace and peace in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! As we enter the month with Holy Week, we know that it is an intense time when we walk with Jesus through the events of his final week on earth prior to his crucifixion. Yet, though the events portray an agonizing crucifixion and death, on the third day the stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. We hear the words of the angels ringing in our ears: He is not here; He has risen, just as He said He would.” Death has been defeated. The power of resurrection begins to work in our lives daily. What a privilege we have as Gods people!

Jesus promises a great word for us.

John 14:27

“Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

We thank God for all the ministries that took place in March. We held our Lent devotion — both in person and online — on six spiritual disciplines. Thank you for attending in person and for your encouragement. We continue to hold Holy Week services as usual. God is good! We had 40 people participate in the Pastor Cup — amazing! They will receive their cups at the April 12th service. We welcome Sister Priya as she takes on the Womens Fellowship leadership for the next two years. We also welcome Sister Basava as she leads our church picnic this year, along with six members who will lead the Church Retreat. God is great!

In April, we begin the month with Holy Week services. All devotions will be held online. Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services will be in person at 8:00 PM. The Easter Sunday service will be at 5:30 AM. We will continue to celebrate Sunday services regularly at the church. We are also launching Cell Group ministries, and more information will be shared in the coming weeks. Please mark your calendars for the Confirmation Service for our five teens on May 3rd, 2026, and continue to pray for the confirmation candidates as they grow in their faith each week.

In the midst of challenges in our families and workplaces, God is with us. He continues to work wonders in our lives. The risen Christ is with you! Christ is risen, indeed! Alleluia!

Praying for you,

Rev Dr Devadosan Sugirtharaj

Pastor
