1. The Cross of Christ reveals the Suffering Servanthood of God
Isaiah.53: 4,11-12: 4.Surely He has borne our [g]griefs And carried our [h]sorrows; Yet we [i]esteemed Him stricken, [j]Smitten by God, and afflicted. [r]He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied. 11. By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,For He shall bear their iniquities.12 Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great, And He shall divide the [s]spoil with the strong, Because He poured out His soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors,And He bore the sin of many, And made intercession for the transgressors.

2. The Cross of Christ reveals the Healing Power of God
Jeremiah.33:6: Behold, I will bring it health and healing; I will heal them and reveal to them the abundance of peace and truth.

3. The Cross of Christ reveals the Generosity of God
2 Corinthians.8:8-9: 8 I speak not by commandment, but I am testing the sincerity of your love by the diligence of others. 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes He became poor, that you through His poverty might become rich.

4. The Cross of Christ reveals the Forgiveness of God
- 7 In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace 8 which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and [a]prudence, 9 having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, 10 that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, [b]both which are in heaven and which are on earth—in Him.
7. அவருடைய கிருபையின் ஐசுவரியத்தின்படியே இவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே பாவமன்னிப்பாகிய மீட்பு இவருக்குள் நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.8. அந்தக் கிருபையை அவர் சகல ஞானத்தோடும் புத்தியோடும் எங்களிடத்தில் பெருகப்பண்ணினார்.9. காலங்கள் நிறைவேறும்போது விளங்கும் நியமத்தின்படி பரலோகத்திலிருக்கிறவைகளும் பூலோகத்திலிருக்கிறவைகளுமாகிய சகலமும் கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள்ளே கூட்டப்படவேண்டுமென்று,10. தமக்குள்ளே தீர்மானித்திருந்த தம்முடைய தயவுள்ள சித்தத்தின் இரகசியத்தை எங்களுக்கு அறிவித்தார்.
Luke.24:46-47: 46 Then He said to them, “Thus it is written, [l]and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day, 47 and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
46. எழுதியிருக்கிறபடி, கிறிஸ்து பாடுபடவும், மூன்றாம்நாளில் மரித்தோரிலிருந்தெழுந்திருக்கவும் வேண்டியதாயிருந்தது;47. அன்றியும் மனந்திரும்புதலும் பாவமன்னிப்பும் எருசலேம் தொடங்கிச் சகல தேசத்தாருக்கும் அவருடைய நாமத்தினாலே பிரசங்கிக்கப்படவும் வேண்டியது.
5. The Cross of Christ reveals the Love of God
Romans.5:6-11: 6 For when we were still without strength, [d]in due time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man someone would even dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. 9 Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him. 10 For if when we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, much more, having been reconciled, we shall be saved by His life. 11 And not only that, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.
6. அன்றியும் நாம் பெலனற்றவர்களாயிருக்கும்போதே, குறித்த காலத்தில் கிறிஸ்து அக்கிரமக்காரருக்காக மரித்தார்.7. நீதிமானுக்காக ஒருவன் மரிக்கிறது அரிது; நல்லவனுக்காக ஒருவேளை ஒருவன் மரிக்கத் துணிவான்.8. நாம் பாவிகளாயிருக்கையில் கிறிஸ்து நமக்காக மரித்ததினாலே, தேவன் நம்மேல் வைத்த தமது அன்பை விளங்கப்பண்ணுகிறார்.9. இப்படி நாம் அவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே நீதிமான்களாக்கப்பட்டிருக்க, கோபாக்கினைக்கு நீங்கலாக அவராலே நாம் இரட்சிக்கப்படுவது அதிக நிச்சயமாமே.10. நாம் தேவனுக்குச் சத்துருக்களாயிருக்கையில், அவருடைய குமாரனின் மரணத்தினாலே அவருடனே ஒப்புரவாக்கப்பட்டோமானால், ஒப்புரவாக்கப்பட்டபின் நாம் அவருடைய ஜீவனாலே இரட்சிக்கப்படுவது அதிக நிச்சயமாமே.11. அதுவுமல்லாமல், இப்பொழுது ஒப்புரவாகுதலை நமக்குக் கிடைக்கப்பண்ணின நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசு கிறிஸ்துமூலமாய் நாம் தேவனைப்பற்றியும் மேன்மைபாராட்டுகிறோம்.
1 John.4:9-10:9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
9. தம்முடைய ஒரேபேறான குமாரனாலே நாம் பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு தேவன் அவரை இவ்வுலகத்திலே அனுப்பினதினால் தேவன் நம்மேல் வைத்த அன்பு வெளிப்பட்டது.10. நாம் தேவனிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்ததினால் அல்ல, அவர் நம்மிடத்தில் அன்புகூர்ந்து, நம்முடைய பாவங்களை நிவிர்த்திசெய்கிற கிருபாதாரபலியாகத் தம்முடைய குமாரனை அனுப்பினதினாலே அன்பு உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.
God reveals to us as the loving God. What are the ways God express his love to us? Why does cross become the chief sign of God’s love?
6. The Cross of Christ reveals the Victory of God
1Corinthians 15: 54-57: 54 So when this corruptible has put on incorruption, and this mortal has put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” 55 “O[n] Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory?”56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
54. அழிவுள்ளதாகிய இது அழியாமையையும், சாவுக்கேதுவாகிய இது சாவாமையையும் தரித்துக்கொள்ளும்போது, மரணம் ஜெயமாக விழுங்கப்பட்டது என்று எழுதியிருக்கிற வார்த்தை நிறைவேறும்.55. மரணமே! உன் கூர் எங்கே? பாதாளமே! உன் ஜெயம் எங்கே?56. மரணத்தின் கூர் பாவம், பாவத்தின் பெலன் நியாயப்பிரமாணம்.57. நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினாலே நமக்கு ஜெயங்கொடுக்கிற தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரம்.
Colossians.2:13-15: 13 And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, 14 having wiped out the [a]handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. 15 Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
13. உங்கள் பாவங்களினாலேயும், உங்கள் மாம்ச விருத்தசேதனமில்லாமையினாலேயும் மரித்தவர்களாயிருந்த உங்களையும் அவரோடேகூட உயிர்ப்பித்து, அக்கிரமங்களெல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்கு மன்னித்து;14. நமக்கு எதிரிடையாகவும் கட்டளைகளால் நமக்கு விரோதமாகவும் இருந்த கையெழுத்தைக் குலைத்து, அதை நடுவிலிராதபடிக்கு எடுத்து, சிலுவையின்மேல் ஆணியடித்து;15. துரைத்தனங்களையும் அதிகாரங்களையும் உரிந்துகொண்டு, வெளியரங்கமான கோலமாக்கி, அவைகளின்மேல் சிலுவையிலே வெற்றிசிறந்தார்.
7. The Cross of Christ reveals the Kingdom of God
Colossians.1:13-14: He has delivered us from the power of darkness and [a]conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, 14 in whom we have redemption [b]through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.
13. இருளின் அதிகாரத்தினின்று நம்மை விடுதலையாக்கி, தமது அன்பின் குமாரனுடைய ராஜ்யத்திற்கு உட்படுத்தினவருமாயிருக்கிற பிதாவை ஸ்தோத்திரிக்கிறோம்.14. [குமாரனாகிய] அவருக்குள், அவருடைய இரத்தத்தினாலே, பாவமன்னிப்பாகிய மீட்பு நமக்கு உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.
Hebrews.2:8-9: 8 For in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made [f]a little lower than the angels, for the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, that He, by the grace of God, might taste death for everyone.
8. சகலத்தையும் அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினார் என்கிற விஷயத்தில், அவர் அவனுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தாத பொருள் ஒன்றுமில்லை; அப்படியிருந்தும், இன்னும் அவனுக்குச் சகலமும் கீழ்ப்பட்டிருக்கக் காணோம்.9. என்றாலும், தேவனுடைய கிருபையினால் ஒவ்வொருவருக்காகவும், மரணத்தை ருசிபார்க்கும்படிக்கு தேவதூதரிலும் சற்றுச் சிறியவராக்கப்பட்டிருந்த இயேசு மரணத்தை உத்தரித்ததினிமித்தம் மகிமையினாலும் கனத்தினாலும் முடிசூட்டப்பட்டதைக் காண்கிறோம்.
