ICWC firmly believes that God's work moves forward only on the knees of its people... Together

The early first century Christians did exactly that. Those followers of Christ studied the scripture, worshipped, fellowshipped and most importantly prayed together, which also helped them to stay together. The book of Acts contains numerous references to show how the disciples and the early Christians prayed in one accord. Acts 20 tells of Paul and the Ephesians elders praying and weeping together. (Acts20:36)

ICWC's mission of the Prayer Ministry is to help bond people to Christ through supplication and through individual and corporate prayer. ICWC does not seek to impose its own will but kneels before God reverently to seek His presence and guidance in every aspect of the Church ministry. ICWC submits to Christ as the head of the Church and strives to obey His precepts to ensure that His bride is honored and be called a House of Prayer (Isaiah 56:7b "For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.")

Key Prayer Ministry Activities


First Sunday: Pick and Pray

On every first Sunday service during the offertory time, prayer cards indicating the names of all the families are placed in a bowl and passed to the congregation. Each congregation member (1 per family) picks a card on a random basis. They then get in touch with the family picked and pray for their needs. Both these families also could meet and pray together for each other needs. For the next 30 days, both families pray for each otherпїЅs needs and for the Church.


Second Sunday: Intercessory Prayer after the Church service

After the II Sunday fellowship hour, the Church at large gathers at the altar and prays for the families in the Church and for the church at large. The prayer lasts for an hour. Prayer points collected from the congregation are prayed for.


Third Saturday: Fasting Prayer

Fasting prayer is held at a congregation member's home. The fasting prayer starts at 9 am and ends at 1 pm.


Fourth Saturday: All Night Prayer

All night prayers are held at either Member's homes or at the Church from 10 pm to 4 am. The prayers are held once a quarter and so far two all night prayers have been held.


Other Key Prayer Activities

* A "Testimony to Answered Prayer" segment is included in the third and fourth week services, where congregation members share their answered prayer testimonies.
* Pastoral prayer every Sunday during the service for birthdays, anniversaries, sickness and other prayer needs.
* The Prayer Ministry Team members together form a "Prayer Shield" for the Pastor and his family for protection and deliverance from satanic forces.
