When the master saw that the Lord was with him… - Gen 39:3
What is very interesting about Joseph’s life in a strange land of Egypt was that he never went around bragging about the presence of the God in his life. But, his master Potiphar saw the presence of God in his life!. If God is present in a believer’s life, he does not have to hold a placard, proclaiming the presence of God in his life! His life explains it all. People can “see” His presence conspicuously and clearly.
In the Sermon on the Mount, Our Lord Jesus said “Let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven” (Matthew 5:16). Christianity is “Life Proclamation”, not “Lip Proclamation”. I am reminded of a poem.
You are the Gospel
The gospel of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John,
Are read by more than few,
But the gospel that is most read
And commented on is the gospel according to you.
You are writing a gospel,
A chapter a day by the things that you do,
And the words that you say.
People read what you write,
Say what is the gospel according to you?
Let the world see our master’s presence in our words and deeds.
